What Will the Fall Schedule Look Like?
I apologize if you are not ready to start thinking about Fall yet. Like it or not, Summer will soon be drawing to a close. While it usually feels good to get back into the more structured schedule of the school year, I encourage you to do your best to live in the moment and enjoy these remaining, less structured, weeks of Summer. However, living in the moment cannot preclude planning for the future, so here are our plans as we move into Fall. The Congregation Council has decided to continue with our current schedule of one Sunday morning worship service at 9:30 am. Sunday School and Adult Forum will take place after worship, from 10:45 to 11:30 am. For more infomation visit: https://hclchurch.com/blog/what-will-the-fall-schedule-look-like

Stewardship and FinanceMoney Can Last Forever “A three-year-old girl said to her father on his way to the grocery store. ‘Daddy, bring me something that will last forever.’ The girl’s request is a fine definition of stewardship. The giving of money, time, and talent brings a sense of meaning, purpose, and spiritual relatedness to God that lasts forever.” [The Vital Congregation, Herb Miller]
Financial Update through June 2021 Actuals 2020 Actuals Income (Deficit) (15,427)* 5,448 *Keep in mind we passed a $32,000 deficit budget for 2021. (We did this with the knowledge that we have $59,000 left over from our 2020 Paycheck Protection Program funds. At the end of the year, we will make up our 2021 deficit using these funds.) Because we passed a $32,000 deficit budget, our monthly and year-to-date "actuals" will most likely always show a deficit. To keep things in perspective this year, it is more helpful to look at "budgeted" amounts as opposed to "actual" amounts, which are shown in the chart above. With that in mind, while our actual deficit through June is $15,427, we have a budget surplus of $957. For more infomation visit:
