Take Time for the SpiritA good friend of mine has a spiritual practice of drinking her morning coffee on her back deck. No matter the weather, she sits aside at least a few minutes every morning to “sit with God,” as she calls it. On cold winter days, she wraps herself in a blanket and keeps it brief. Habitat for HumanityIt was a beautiful day to build! About ten volunteers from various congregations in the Faithful Builders Coalition worked at Habitat's project, Bluestem, on Wednesday the 22nd. Mauritz Carlson and Jim Schneider represented Holy Cross. They installed windows, did trim and soffits, and started siding. Stay tuned for more build opportunities, or find Jim if you have questions. |

River of LifeCalling all incoming PreK-5th graders! Join us for Vacation Bible School June 10-13th! We'll meet in the evenings from 6:00-7:45 pm to journey down the river to learn about God's gracious gift of water! We'll have lots of fun together and I hope you can join us! Cost is $10 per child. Dear Friends, From all of us at Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, we want to express our gratitude for your wonderful gift. You make such an impact on our campers, retreat guests, and staff - thank you! We are so excited for our campers and Summer Ministry Team members to join us next month! Our 2024 Summer Camp theme is Created to Be and comes from Psalm 139:14. This summer, campers will be given an opportunity to explore more deeply their authentic selves that God has made. They will learn what it means to be siblings in Christ - humans who are brave enough to encourage and stand up for each other, sharing burdens as well as joys. They will grow and learn more about themselves while listening to and sharing with each other. We look forward to celebrating and exploring who we are truly Created to Be.
