Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
He is risen indeed, Alleluia!
I started our midweek worship with the kids this past Wednesday by checking to see if they knew what to say in this Easter call and response. And they did! What was even cooler was to see their reaction to the Easter story that I told (in my own words). They gasped at the shocking parts and expressed how freaked out Mary must have been. It gave new life to an old story, for me, to see the young people respond to what is truly an amazing story.
One of my favorite things about being a mom has always been seeing the world through the eyes of my children. As adults we so often lose the ability to marvel at the marvelous or be awed by the awesome. I am so grateful for the worldview of children who remind me again and again of the wonders of what God has created and what God does in the world.
This Easter season (which lasts through the whole month of May!) I invite you to marvel at what God is doing in your life. Find awe in the signs of new life that are budding and springing up around you. When you experience moments of resurrection - no matter how small - share the wonder of it with your family and friends. If you have the chance, spend time with a child and let them show you all the amazing things that you may have forgotten to notice.
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
(Isn’t that AMAZING?!)
