Advent begins December 1.  As you already know, Advent is a time of waiting, for watching, and honestly, a time of high anxiety.  The truth is, despite the prophecy, no one really knew what to expect with the arrival of this baby:  “O, come, O come, Emmanuel."

This Advent season, we will sing the hymn “O, Come, O Come, Emmanuel” with the accompaniment of an unusual instrument.  It reminds us that though we are patiently waiting, there is a bit of anxiety for the unknown.  However, this instrument is joined by the comfort of the bells to reassure us that there is hope despite the uncertainty.

Christmas Caroling:  December 15.  Sign up in the Narthex.  It is so wonderful to see some of our members who are unable to make it to the services.  What a joy to see them!

December 22:  “A Blest Messiah” presented by the Chancel Choir, Middle School/High School Ensemble, and Sunday School singers.  Theresa Howatt directs our choir this year with the instrumentals of keyboard: Bob Krueger and Percussion:  Brad Yearwood.  Walter Roberts is the narrator with Ed Krueger and David Wellsandt on soundboard.  It is the story of the birth Jesus told through song and narration.  The congregation gets to join in, also. Let's celebrate through song!

Christmas Eve December 24
It's a time to come together and celebrate!
