It’s true! April showers bring May flowers AND music, too!
You sometimes wonder how there could be anymore great music after Easter, but undoubtedly, the music continues to engage all age groups!
May 4 is the Children led worship. What I love is that K-5 alumni will be lending a hand by playing prelude AND being part of the Youth Worship Music Team. Our Middle School/High School Ensemble and Chancel Choir will join the Sunday School Kids to sing “Prayer Litany.” It is such a lovely piece. I am hoping that you can be here that day to support ALL of our fine musicians!
May 11 is Senior Day Recognition. It is always with sadness that we say goodbye, but it is with joy that we wish them well on their new journey! The Middle School/High School Bells are playing “Pomp and Circumstance,” befitting for the occasion! Also, Bill Sukstorf is working to gather our Children/Youth instrumentalists. They, too, will be playing for us this day.
May 18 is Confirmation Day. Anna Grell and her flute duet partner are playing special music that day. I can’t wait. I’m so looking forward to their performance!
Upcoming: Beginning in June, Summer Choir sings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Meet at 9:00 a.m. to sing for the service that day!
Pentecost: June 8
