How I do love November!  The leaves are turning, the air is crisp-at least in the morning, and music is in the air!

This month, you have an opportunity to hear our Middle School/High School Bell Choir play.  They are such a wonderful group!  These are young women and men who bonded in Sunday School, grew their friendships in Confirmation, and then eventually joined (or will join) the High School Group. It’s their first outing this year, and I am super excited for them! We do seem to giggle a bit.

Radical Ringers are playing in November an old-time camp song favorite:  “He’s Everything to Me.” Don’t worry.  We have the “Ah, ah, ah’s” included.  It is an entirely unfamiliar song to them, but when you reward them with ringing a Halloween song after a grueling rehearsal, it makes coming to bells all the worthwhile.

Just so that you know what else is happening musically, the Sunday School Kids and MS/HS Ensemble are joining the Chancel Choir on November 24 to sing “I Have Been Anointed.”  It’s a great rhythmic song with lots of soul and depth on the djembe-to be played by David Perilo.  I can’t wait for you to hear it.  Also in the making during the month of November, MS/HS Ensemble is joining the Chancel Choir in learning the Christmas Cantata:  “A Blest Messiah Born” by Larry Shackly.  The Sunday School kids are joining in to sing one of the songs.  It is always a treat to bring everyone together.  I can’t wait to tell you about the December happenings.  Looking forward to telling you all about them in the next newsletter.

Remember to give that extra hug to your loved ones and reassure them with a smile.  I know that I have been blessed in so many ways.  With that, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving…gobble, gobble!

Musically Yours,

Becky Jones
