Kelsey Ellis has been serving within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for over 16 years. She started her ministry at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Omaha in 2007 as the Youth Director for 5 years, before joining the team at Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries as the Director of Program in 2012. There, she oversaw summer camp programming and the hiring and training of young adult summer staff. After having her first child, she returned to Holy Cross Lutheran Church as the Director of Faith Formation. Kelsey’s job encompasses all things Faith Formation – family ministry, faith steps, Sunday School, and Junior High and High School programming. Kelsey has a passion for working with young people and enjoys walking alongside them in their faith journey, helping them discover their identity as beloved Child of God. She is married to her husband, Chris, and they have a 9 year old daughter, Emmy Lou and 5 year old son, Everett Lee along with two pups, Kala and Coal. In her spare time, Kelsey loves to read, knit and enjoy God's creation!
