As the world swirls with racial injustice, a global pandemic, fears of our own, and we don't know where to start - we breathe. We start with our breath, remembering who and whose we are. Breathe with me.
Find a comfortable seated position in a safe quiet space - your own sanctuary. Close your eyes and pay attention to your breath. You and God, alone in this sacred, safe place. For 10 breath cycles, pray the following:
Inhale: Beloved Child of God,
Exhale: That is who I am.
"See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are."
1 John 3:1.
Breathe, knowing that you are a named and claimed child of God. Use that name to propel you forward to strive for justice and peace, love and kindness - knowing that you are loved and not alone.
Where is God leading you to strive for justice and peace in our world?
Where is God leading you to show love and kindness?
