Breathe With Me

As the world swirls with racial injustice, a global pandemic, fears of our own, and we don't know where to start - we breathe. We start with our breath, remembering who and whose we are. Breathe with me.

Find a comfortable seated position in a safe quiet space - your own sanctuary. Close your eyes and pay attention to your breath. You and God, alone in this sacred, safe place. For 10 breath cycles, pray the following:

Inhale: Beloved Child of God,
Exhale: That is who I am.

"See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are."
1 John 3:1.

Breathe, knowing that you are a named and claimed child of God. Use that name to propel you forward to strive for justice and peace, love and kindness - knowing that you are loved and not alone.

Where is God leading you to strive for justice and peace in our world?
Where is God leading you to show love and kindness?

2021 ELCA Youth Gathering

Youth who will be in 8th-12th grade for the 2020-2021 school year will be able to attend the 2021 ELCA Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, MN next summer. The dates for that trip are June 29-July 3, 2021. Mark your calenders!

With the pandemic, plans for the Gathering are fluid at the moment. Plans are changing all the time, and no ultimate final decision has been made about the event. For now, pencil the trip in on your calenders! I will be in communication when I know more!

It was great to see some of your faces on Zoom for our Youth Game Day! Take care of yourselves, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to!
