Breathe With Me

During our summer trip, we talked a lot about the pandemic and how it affected each of us. A lot of our teens talked about the fear, anxiety, and loneliness that was felt heavily over the last year and a half. I think I speak for most of us in that room when I say that it was comforting to know that we were not alone in those feelings over the last year. Knowing that your peers feel deeply the same things you feel is comforting. Knowing that you have a community that surrounds you and walks with you is reassuring. 

Whatever you're feeling at this stage in the pandemic, please take time now to acknowledge those feelings. Are you excited for the future? Scared of what's to come? Comfortable with the way things are? There are no wrong answers. How are you feeling? Write it down and look at it - read over it a couple times. Whatever you're feeling, know that you are not alone. Not only is God with you, but your church community surrounds you in love and walks with you.

Let's take some time to breathe. 

Inhale: I am never alone.

Exhale: For you are with me.

Repeat that breath prayer as many times as you would like. End your meditation time with one long inhale and one extra long exhale.

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8: 38-39

2022 Summer Youth Trip - ELCA Youth Gathering

As strange as it sounds, it's time to start thinking about our summer trip for 2022! Mark your calendars for July 24-28, 2022 - we are going to Minneapolis, MN for the ELCA Youth Gathering - "Boundless"! Along with 15,000 of our closest Lutheran friends, we will spend the week learning, worshipping, listening, dancing, playing, serving, and experiencing our Boundless God. Early bird registration opens mid-September, so start looking at your calendars and plan on joining us July 24-28, 2022!! Pastor Jim & Kelsey will plan to hold a parent meeting in late August or early September to go over details and costs. 

Confirmation & Youth Group

Confirmation and Wednesday night Youth Group will resume again beginning Wednesday September 8th.
