June Children's Ministry Update

Happy Summer!

Just like the old Alice Cooper song says - School's out for SUMMER!

Believe it or not, we have finished our first ever year of At Home Sunday School. Whether you religiously used the lessons and curriculum, used bits and pieces for your own faith conversations, or just open and shut the emails - we are thankful for you, we are alongside you, and we know that this past year and a half has been quite a ride. Thank you for being flexible this year and thank you for nurturing your child's faith - whatever that looked like for your family. We look forward to hopefully being together in person this fall, back in the classroom with our super awesome Sunday School teachers!

In the meantime, this summer, let's be on the look out for GOD around us! We talked a lot this year about God sightings, feeling and seeing God's presence through love in action, and we ended the year talking about the Holy Spirit's presence with us through love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (the Fruits of the Spirit).

This summer, while you are playing, learning, resting, laughing, helping, and enjoying your summer - I encourage you to look for Love. Look for Joy. Look for Peace. Look for Patience. Look for Kindness. All of those places listed above are places where you will find God's presence in these summer months. I can't wait to hear about God's presence with you during your summer!

Vacation Bible School

Registration information has been sent to the families of elementary age children of Holy Cross for our upcoming VBS program Monday through Thursday, July 19-22, 2021 from 6:00-7:45 PM. Our theme is "Who is My Neighbor?" - where we will explore the world together, learning all about our neighbors in the Kingdom of God and the ways we are called to love them.  I hope you can join us for a VERY fun week!

Summer Camp at Carol Joy!

If you are looking for something for your kids to do this summer and if you love God and the outdoors, think about spending a few days at Camp Carol Joy Holling in Ashland, NE, this summer!
