Children's Ministry

Wonder Together!

PreK-5th Graders are invited to Wonder Together on Sunday mornings from 10:45-11:30, following worship! We will begin on Sunday September 13th with our kick-off! Together during the year, we will hear stories from the Bible, wonder and ask questions about them, grow together in faith, love and community, and GO - spreading God's love to the world! 

Did you notice the new name?! We will no longer call our children's Sunday morning faith formation time "Sunday School" - after some brainstorming and reflecting - it will now be called Wonder Together!

The goals of Wonder Together are:

  • To build a community, where we wonder together - hearing stories about God's love.
  • To grow in faith together through Bible stories and community.
  • To GO, spreading God's love to the world.

Neighborhood Block Party!

Mark your calendars for Sunday September 20th for our annual Block Party 12-3pm! We WILL have Wonder Together the day of the Block Party, and will go enjoy the party after we are done! Come play on the bounce houses, enjoy free lunch, and lots of games!

Wednesday Night Programming

Our Wednesday Night Programming will begin on Wednesday September 16th!

6:00 - Uke Choir (K-5th)
6:30 - Mid Week Worship
7:00 - Radical Ringers (K-5th)

Confirmation Parent Meeting

Parents, you will meet with Pastor Heather following worship on Sunday September 13th to talk about Confirmation programming and expectations. Please do your best to be there!

Confirmation Bibles

Save the date! 6th Graders will receive their Confirmation Bibles during worship on September 13th.

Confirmation Begins

Confirmation classes will begin on Wednesday September 16th.

Here is the September Confirmation Schedule:
September 16: Pantry Prep/Acolyte Training
September 23: Intro to the Bible
September 30: The Birth of Jesus

Each week will have the same format:
6:00-6:25 - Confirmation 
6:30 - Mid Week Worship
7:00-7:30 - Confirmation

High School

Youth Group

Youth Group will begin again on Wednesday September 16th. We will meet at 7:00 pm back in the Youth Room for about an hour. Each Wednesday looks a little different – game nights, study nights, social nights – whatever it looks like, we hope you can join us in this safe place for ALL high school teenagers.

2027 ELCA Youth Gathering - Parent Meeting

Believe it or not, it's time to start thinking about NEXT SUMMER! Registration for the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, MN opens in October - so please plan to join us for a Gathering Parent Meeting on Sunday September 27th, in the Cross Center following worship. The 2027 Gathering is open to current 8th graders-seniors. 

Fall Craft Fair

Mark your calendars! Our Fall Craft Fair will be Saturday November 14th from 9a-3p. This is a fundraiser for the youth fund, so please plan to be there to help! More information and a food sign up form will be coming next month!
