In this newsletter we would like to focus on everything that makes the pantry such a huge success!

  • Responses to the shopper emails sent out by Peg Schneider and all the donations we receive from those valuable emails. Thank you Peg!
  • A full blue bin of donations! Lately the blue bin is always full of your donations - what a blessing!
  • Valued volunteers. Those who come regularly to unload orders and help with prepping for the pantry.  Those who prepare the night before each pantry, filling bags of food.  Those volunteers who brace the weather (rain, wind, cold) and show up to make sure those in need are given bags of groceries.
  • We are thankful for those that run a small pantry drive with an event they may be hosting to collect for the pantry.
  • Outside groups that collect for the pantry.
  • Monetary donations that keep our pantry running.
  • Pat Kern for keeping the pantry organized and stocked!
  • The staff who answers calls throughout the week and hands out food when there is an emergency situation.
  • Confirmation and high school students for assisting with prep on Wednesday evening.

There are many more folks and reasons we may not have listed.  Please know each and every one of you are valued for your contributions to the food pantry.  We are off to a great year because of you.  Thank you!

Confirmation students will be assisting with pantry prep on Wednesday evenings.  Since this is only part of their programming on Wednesdays, we welcome any parents who would like to assist in completing the prep once the children go to class.

If you would like to volunteer to help with upcoming  pantries, please click here to sign-up. This will aid us in knowing who is coming to volunteer and to ensure we have opportunities for all.

January Numbers: we served 112 families, equaling 448  individuals.  

Current Needs: Our greatest needs this month are canned fruit, tuna, pasta/potato, saltine crackers and toilet paper.

February Pantry Dates:

  • Friday, February 6, 6:00-7:30pm, Pantry Prep
  • Saturday, February 7, 8:00-10:00am, Drive Up Pantry
  • Wednesday, February 18, 6:00-7:30pm, Pantry Prep (Confirmation students will assist with prep)
  • Thursday, February 19, 5:00-7:00 pm, Drive Up Pantry
