November Pantry Update

WOW!  We successfully serve 160 families during our annual Thanksgiving Food Pantry!  Each family received all the fixings for Thanksgiving, a regular pantry food bag, a regular pantry household bag, 1 frozen item, and a frozen turkey! We planned for 132 families, but had a contingency plan of more turkeys and gift cards and because of this, no one was turned away this year! 

Special THANKS to

• Holy Cross Sunday School kids and families, members of Holy Cross, Northwest Hills Church, and the Northwest Hills Hannah Circle for donating food.
• The Holy Cross Confirmation Kids and Youth Group along with several adult volunteers for helping make 396 bags of food! 
• All those who volunteered to load cars and carts, lift heavy turkeys, load frozen food, direct traffic, make turkey runs, and break down SOOOO Many boxes!  
• HyVee on 108th and Fort for delivering and unloading 132 turkeys, saving additional turkeys for a "possible later pick up", that we most certainly ended up needing, helping load potatoes, and for helping with processing MANY MANY gift cards.

Our total number served for the month of November was 206 families with 865 individuals!!!

• Saturday, December 4, 7:45 - 10:15 am: Drive Up Pantry
• Wednesday, December 15, 6:00 - 7:30 pm: Adult & Confirmation Thanksgiving Pantry Prep
• Thursday, December 16, 4:45 - 7:15 pm: Thanksgiving Drive Up Pantry
