Go Tell it on the Mountain!
The Shepherds returned glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.” - Luke 2:20 My favorite Christmas hymn to sing with kids is “Go Tell it on the Mountain.” Only children sing this song with full exuberance, often shout-singing the call to GO! Tell it on the mountain!!! As endearing as this is, it also captures the infectious excitement that the shepherds must have felt after being the first to hear the “...good news of great joy for all the people” (Luke 2:10) - the world changing news of Jesus’ birth. Like Children, the shepherds were so overflowing with excitement that they could not contain it - they had to share it - maybe even shout it! “And all who heard it were amazed…” (Luke 2:18) Click Read More to read Pastor Heather's full article. Dear Holy Cross, On behalf of Mtakuja Secondary School, I wish to express our profound gratitude to Holy Cross Lutheran Church for their generous contribution, which we recently received through the ELCA Nebraska Synod. The generosity displayed by your congregation holds significant meaning for us at Mtakuja Secondary School and encourages us in our work. Many of our students come from very humble backgrounds, and the support extended by Holy Cross is instrumental in ensuring they receive a high-quality education. We want you to understand that your gift serves as a tangible beacon of hope, serving as both inspiration and a pivotal catalyst in our educational mission. Yours in Christ,
Dear Holy Cross Lutheran Church Food Pantry, Food Bank for the Heartland is thankful for you and all you do in generous support of our neighbors across Nebraska and western Iowa. Thank you! |
