Spring is here, and with the warmth, sunshine, and good soil comes NEW LIFE! Little sprouts of green will start appearing soon, reminding us that summer is on the way.
On May 1st, as part of our Good Soil planting event (read more here), we will create and plant our first ever community garden at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. We are starting small, with two small raised gardens of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Our hope is that the produce from our garden will help feed our community through our Food Pantry, through produce swaps, and through our Little Free Pantry out front. Our goal is to grow food so that the people of our community have access to fresh vegetables.
We are so excited about this new addition to our space! If you'd like to help us fund this project, visit the display in the Narthex or donate here to our Good Soil fund.
