"Let’s Get Back 2gether" is the 2021 theme for the annual Heartland Pride Parade. Coming together as a community is one of the cornerstones of Pride, helping everyone know they are not alone and providing a safe and welcoming space to celebrate freedoms gained and those yet to be won.
This last year has been hard on everyone. We’ve had to find ways to deal with canceled plans, the loss and isolation caused by a global pandemic, and saw social injustices come to the forefront of people’s minds; all while trying to stay virtually connected to those we love.
That is why Pride is not just a parade, it’s a movement. We are excited to be able to bring the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Family back "2gether" to help celebrate history, diversity and future prosperity of the LGBTQ+ community of the heartland at this year’s Heartland Pride Parade and Festival.
Please make plans to join us on Saturday July 10, 2021 at 10 A.M to march with us in the annual parade to show that “All Are Welcome Here”. We will be sending more signup information to you soon with an opportunity to purchase a newly designed Holy Cross Lutheran Church “Pride” t-shirt.
If you have questions, please reach out to Rohn Collins. We look forward to having you all attend!
