Christmas Caroling on December 10
Come and join a group of carolers of all ages from 2-4:00 p.m. as we go to the homes of our members who may find it difficult to be out-and-about. We’ll meet at 1:45 p.m. here at HCLC so that we can divide in groups to visit as many as possible. Sign up HERE so we havean idea of how many to expect. Put your best scarf and hat on. We’re going caroling!

Sunday, December 24
I think I know what you are going to say: “That’s Christmas Eve!” Well, yes, you are correct but not until 10:35 a.m. that morning!
At the 9:30 a.m. service, we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent. The fourth candle of the Advent wreath will be lit, the banners will remain Advent, and the paraments will still be blue-the color denoting the Advent season.
At 10:35 a.m., the transformation begins. The banners are changed to Christmas, the paraments change to white, and the congregational candles are set out ready to be lit for "Silent Night." When you return for the 4:00 p.m. Children’s Christmas Service or the 7:00 p.m. Candlelight and Carol Service, you will see how the room has transformed-ready to celebrate the long-anticipated arrival of baby Jesus.
Join us for Advent AND Christmas Eve services on Sunday, December 24. What a special time of the year it is to be with friends and family. How lucky we are to have each other.
