We are finally reaching the end of the “time after Pentecost!”  This month we have All Saints Sunday, where we remember all of the saints who have gone before us to be with Christ, followed by the last of our “regular time” Sundays.  We will then end the church liturgical season with Christ the King Sunday.  For the church, the new year doesn’t start in January, but at the end of November with the Advent season - the season where we prepare our hearts and our lives for the coming of Christ, the light of the world.  So, there will be a lot of changing colors in our sanctuary this month - from white, to green, to white and then we kick off a new year of hope with the color blue as we sing the eternal hope of the church, “O Come, O Come, Immanuel!”
