Stores are lined with candy, red hearts and flowers. Valentine's Day is upon us! For some, the gifts and sweet words are exciting and welcomed. For others, loneliness sets in. Whatever you're feeling - remember that you are LOVED. God has named you and claimed you a beloved child. God's love LIVES in you. Not only does God love you, but your entire church family loves you and prays for you often. Let's take a second and breathe together.
Find a quiet, comfortable place to relax. Repeat the following words in your mind or out loud with each inhale and exhale.
Inhale: God, you live in me.
Exhale: Your love lives in me.
"No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us."
1 John 4:12
Mark your calendars for June 20-24th, 2021! All incoming 6th graders - outgoing 12th graders are invited to join us for a trip to Lake of the Ozarks! We are hopeful that we can make the trip, but will be in touch as planning moves forward. More information and details will be headed your way soon!
We will continue to meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm during Lent via Zoom. Watch your email weekly for the link from Pastor Jim.
We will continue to meet for a quick zoom check in at 7:00 pm on Wednesday's during Lent. The meeting link is sent via email to parents and via text message to the high school students.
During Lent, high school youth are invited to participate in a weekly devotional called "Where Your Heart Is" by Illustrated Ministry. This little devotional booklet is meant to be colored in, doodled on, and written on. When we meet on Wednesday evenings, we'll talk about that week's story and theme. I hope this can be a resource for our high school youth to take some time to reflect during this season of Lent.
