It's officially the end of another Sunday School Year! Even though the ending wasn't ideal, I want you to know how much I love each of you and how happy I am that you are a part of Holy Cross Lutheran Church! We had such a fun year learning, singing, and playing with you. I can't wait until we can gather again for Sunday School!
We couldn't have as much fun as we do, and our faith couldn't grow as BIG as it did this year without our faithful Sunday School Teachers. THANK YOU to our caring adults that led our children through Bible stories, faith filled conversations, fun games, and music time:
Kelley Kennedy: PreK
Judy Glesne: Kinder - 2nd Grade
Tracey Duke: 3rd - 5th Grade
Julie Noteman: 3rd - 5th Grade
We appreciate each one of you, and all that you do for the children of our congregation!
Please join me in a prayer for our Sunday School Teachers:
Loving God,
Today, we give you thanks for Miss Kelley, Miss Judy, Miss Tracey, and Miss Julie - for their patience, their love, their creativity, and for their leadership. Because of them, we feel more connected to You. Be with our Sunday School teachers during this pandemic and summer break. Help them to feel deep love from each of us, and from you. Continue to lead them and guide them until we meet again. Amen.
Thank you to everyone who brought offering during Sunday School! Together, you raised $104.71 for Lutheran Family Services' Refugee Reception & Placement. Thank you for serving God's people in this way!
Every summer, our church is filled with over 55 children and dozens of adults that make up our annual Music, Art & VBS Day Camp. We sing, we dance, we learn, we play, and we experience God together. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our day camp for the summer of 2020. So many of the activities that we do are in large groups and close proximities - our end of the week meal normal has a couple hundred people in attendance! And while it's a joyous week and time to be together each summer, the safety of our children and their families is our number one priority. Out of care and love for one another, the best decision was to cancel for this summer. We hope you can use this summer to spend some time together as a family, until our church family can meet together again! See you in the summer of 2021 for our next Music, Art & VBS Camp!
