August Pantry Update

The Holy Cross Food Pantry continues to serve the community the First Saturday and Third Thursday of every month.  We will continue with our drive-thru pantry service until further notice. 

Sometimes you just need a little sugar!  Well, that was our theme for the month anyways.  We are so grateful for our relationship with the food bank and are thankful for whatever we are able to get.  But this month, we received 400lbs of miscellaneous food items for distribution.  When ordering from the food bank, these “Miscellaneous food bins” are sometimes quite comical.  This week was one of those times. 400lbs arrived one Wednesday afternoon complete with mostly cake, cookies, pies, and pastries.  A full freezer full!  So when our food pantry friends come through the pantry, I am sure they will be pleased as punch to be getting a cake, even though it might say Happy Birthday.  Hey, it’s someone’s birthday, right!?!

• Saturday, September 2, 7:45 – 9:45 am: Drive Up Pantry
• Wednesday, September 20, 6:00 to 7:30 pm: Confirmation Pantry Prep
• Thursday, September 21, 4:45 – 6:45 pm: Drive Up Pantry
