Habitat for Humanity

We did it again! On November 20th, the Faithful Builders Coalition of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha blessed and dedicated a new home, this time for Karina and her family. It was a very moving ceremony. After prayers and thanks, Karina was handed the keys, along with some quilts and other gifts, and we celebrated with her extended family and many friends. It was a perfect start to the week of Thanksgiving!  Since 1994 our coalition of a dozen congregations has provided a family with a new home every year, even through the pandemic - that's 28 homes -  helping to end poverty by providing shelter to those who need it most. Thank you to everybody at Holy Cross who has supported this mission with time, labor, food, and money, and to all those who kept Karina, her family, and our build team in your prayers.
