The Holy Cross Food Pantry continues to serve the community the First Saturday and Third Thursday of every month. We will continue with our COVID Prevention Model of a drive-thru pantry service until further notice.
Wow! October was a wild ride! Our First Saturday of the month pantry came in at 64 households served, the second highest amount of households served in a single regular pantry to date. And then as if to say, "HOLD ON, WAIT" the Third Thursday pantry broke all the records serving 89 households. 89 HOUSEHOLDS! WOW!!! The shelves are the most sad looking they have ever been this close to our large Thanksgiving Pantry. And there is still 1 more pantry between now and our Thanksgiving fun!
Ways you can help make our holiday season a success.
- Grab a feather off the "Turkey Tree" in the Narthex and make a financial donation to cover a turkey or two! (Tithely donations are fine as well. Either shoot Kelley a quick email or text letting her know the donation was for a turkey or pull a feather and drop the feather with a little note in the offering plate Sunday!)
- Make a monetary donation for general food needs. In addition to the 180 turkeys we have pre-ordered, we will also be serving 180 Thanksgiving bags, 180 Household bags, and 180 Food bags. Meaning we need A LOT of food!
- Shop, Shop, Shop! We are updating the bulletin and our Facebook Page weekly with food pantry needs, but anything helps and everything is low. Drop donations off at the church during office hours or on Wednesday Evenings or Sunday Mornings in the blue bin.
- Click the link below to sign up to help with either our first Saturday pantry in November or our Thanksgiving Pantry. We could still use a few more hands at both. And if the sign up is full for November 17th and you are interested in volunteering, reach out to Kelley for more information on ways to help!
Continue watching Facebook and the bulletin announcements for our food needs list.
